MEET OUR TEAM
Having been in the disability industry for three years; James loves meeting new people; going on adventures and engaging in outdoor activities. He completed his Bachelor of Film at SAE academy and is currently in the process of completing his Psychology degree at Macquarie university as-well as his certificate four in disability. James enjoys watching movies, playing sport, and playing piano.
With a passion for helping people and building relationships along with the drive to improve the quality of support in the support industry. Josh also loves traveling, spending time with friends and family and enjoying an active lifestyle with plenty of sport.
A great addition to the NLS team- Jordan’s fun and energetic personality is contagious to be around. Jordan loves to get in touch with his creative side – playing Trumpet in the band “Papaya Tree”. Jordan is known for teaching swimming and trumpet to kids of all ages. He also loves sport and keeping fit at the gym. Jordan’s determined work ethic and passion for the support industry has made him eager to meet new people!
Ben is new to the industry and has loved meeting new clients and learning new life skills. He has a very relaxed personality and loves to play video games and sport. Ben is an ideal suit for a calming influence and makes those around him feel at ease.
Jess has three years of experience as a support worker and has enjoyed connecting with clients as she continues her study of nursing. Jess loves animals and also has quite the green thumb, using gardening as a way to connect with nature. Jess has also been a part of St John Ambulance since 2012, a volunteer led organisation.
Barny began his journey as a support worker in 2021 but his natural friendliness and kind heart put him right at home in this industry. He is studying high school teaching and has a passion for helping education and helping people better their lives. He is willing to work as hard as he can to support the people around him to reach these goals. Barny loves a wide range of music types and considers himself a movie buff. He is structured and well-organised, providing consistent and dedicated support.
Prudence is new to the industry but has a passion for caring for others. She is currently in her second year of a bachelor of human sciences with a major in public health, and hopes to pursue a career in disability care work. She loves singing, dancing and other creative outlets. Pru is patient and understanding of all kinds of people and makes it her mission to be friends with everyone.
Sid has recently graduated from university with a Bachelor of Social Work and has experience working with vulnerable children and families. He has spent a year in outback WA doing volunteer work with disadvantaged communities and has also spent over a year in Papua New Guinea for the same reason. He aspires to work in International and Humanitarian Aid. His hobbies include his love for the outdoors, physical activity and sport as well as travelling and volunteering. He's kind, patient and easy going.
Stacey is 21 years old and has been working for the disability industry full time since 2019. Stacey has worked mainly with kids and teens, but also with adults. Overall, she enjoys working with people of all ages and has experience with people of all need levels. She enjoys playing and collecting board games, as well as swimming, cooking and watching documentaries.
